Bilad As Sham

I returned home the other day to find my wife raving about the traditional music she had playing. Rather than calling it Palestinian, she called it music from 'Sham'. I then watched yesterday as a man in the street in Beirut said 'There is no Syria, no Lebanon, no Palestine, no Jordan, No Iraq...we are one land!!!!. Well its been almost a hundred years, but the hollow categories may be beginning to dissolve, and as they do so will the pencil lines on the map of the peninsula....

Your post made me wonder about how our world has been changing...and I started to think about how we as humans, even though we may create negative changes, we still have this way of turning them into positive changes...
Uhm...like how the world seemed to go from having no sense of nationalism to becoming separate countries, and then back to seemingly dissolve those bonds, as you've mentioned in your post...

I'll probably be a reader of your blog, since it makes me think a lot (:
